Re-verification
Re-verification is a service asking for the same phone number again after signup: at a new device login, a withdrawal, or a security event.
In detail
It is the most common reason an account created on a temporary number dies. The signup succeeds because the range was clean that day; the second check fails because the number went back to the pool minutes afterwards. Messengers, exchanges and marketplaces all do it, and it is the whole argument for renting a number rather than activating one.
