1. The service
VirtualSMSNumbers provides temporary access to mobile numbers operated by third-party carriers and resellers for the purpose of receiving verification messages. We do not sell SIM cards, we do not transfer ownership of a number, and we do not guarantee that any particular number will be accepted by any particular third-party service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. One person or company, one account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your credentials and API keys, and you must notify us immediately if you believe they have been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use a number obtained through VirtualSMSNumbers to impersonate another person, to commit or facilitate fraud, to evade a suspension imposed by another service for abuse, to send unsolicited messages, to harass anyone, or to break the law of your jurisdiction or ours. You may not resell raw access without a written reseller agreement. We honour carrier abuse notifications and we will terminate accounts implicated in verified abuse without refund.
4. Prepaid balance
The service is prepaid. Balance is denominated in euros, is funded by cryptocurrency payment, is non-transferable between accounts, and does not accrue interest. Balance does not expire while the account is active. Balance is not a deposit, not e-money and not redeemable for cash except as described in the Refund Policy.
5. Pricing
Prices are published live and derive from the current cost of the underlying operator pool. The price applicable to an order is the price displayed at the moment of purchase, which is what is debited. We may change published prices at any time; changes never apply retroactively to a completed order.
6. Refunds
Activations that end without a delivered message are refunded to your balance automatically and in full. This is described in detail in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Refunds are made to balance, not to the originating wallet.
7. Availability
We target 99.9 % monthly availability of the API and the dashboard, measured excluding scheduled maintenance announced at least 48 hours in advance. Availability of any specific country, operator or service combination is not guaranteed and depends on the upstream pool.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is subject to a credible abuse report, that is used for chargeback or payment fraud, or that we are legally required to restrict. Where the closure follows a breach, remaining balance is forfeited. Where it does not, remaining balance is handled under the Refund Policy. You may close your account at any time from Settings.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost data or the actions of third-party services that reject a number.
10. Changes
We may amend these terms. Material changes are announced by email and on the changelog at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in our company details, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place, except where mandatory consumer law grants you a different forum.
