Webhook
A webhook is an HTTPS endpoint you register so a provider posts each event to you as it happens, instead of you polling for it.
In detail
Endpoints subscribe per event — SMS received, activation completed, activation expired, payment confirmed, balance low — and receive nothing else. We wait ten seconds for a 2xx response, then retry on a fixed ladder of 30 seconds, 2 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours and 24 hours; an endpoint that fails 24 deliveries in a row is disabled automatically. Return 2xx as soon as you have stored the delivery id and do the real work afterwards.
