Network fee
A network fee is what a blockchain charges to include a transaction in a block; it is paid to the network, not to the recipient.
In detail
It comes out of what you send, which is why an invoice occasionally credits slightly less than the round number you intended. Choosing the network is therefore a cost decision as much as a speed one: Tron and TON cost cents, Ethereum can cost multiples of that on a busy day. Underpaid invoices are credited for the amount actually received once the transaction can be attributed.
